RELOCATION & INSTALLATION
We have specialised in the relocation
of modular buildings between sites or schools for
over 35 years. This specialist process allows us to relocate
modular buildings between different sites.
The buildings are transferred efficiently,
providing our clients with a greater flexibility of use
for their buildings. With ever changing student numbers
in the education system, we can relocate a building from
a school with falling numbers to a school with a need for
more classroom space.
Student numbers constantly rise and fall,
so this service provides the flexibility needed to counteract
these variations. We can relocate any type or make of modular
building in many different ways. The process of the relocation
and installation can be varied to suit the site or modular
buildings being moved.
The process of Relocation &
Installation
• Survey to assess site access
and work requirements
• Quotation for all works required
• On acceptance of the quotation
the dismantling will proceed at an
agreed date
• The modular bays (sections)
are loaded onto Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV's) for transportation
between sites. There are three options available for loading
the bays onto the HGV's, these are:
• Loading with a crane
• Loading onto a HGV with
specialist crane
• Where access to a site is restricted
for a crane or HGV's, the bays are placed on wheels and
axels and then can be towed by one of our specialist 4x4
vehicles fitted with powerful winching equipment, to an
area accessible to HGV's.
• The Bays are transported
to the next site ready for installation
• The Bays are then unloaded
and re-installed in a process to suit the next site
The process of relocation and installation
is a highly skilled job and is a specialist area of expertise.
Our teams are trained and qualified to carry out such procedures.
A full description of all the works carried out will be
set out in the Method Statements and relevant Health and
Safety criteria that will be provided where necessary.
